The Dispensary is CLOSED between 12 noon - 1.00pm Monday - Friday.

People who are 'at risk' are those with long term conditions which affect their ability to recover from flu. For these people flu can lead to very serious complications, even if they have been well beforehand.

People listed below are advised to have the flu vaccination

  • People aged 65 years or over by 31st March 2019
  • Pregnant women (including those who become pregnant by 31.3.19)
  • Carers who look after an older or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if the Carer falls ill
  • Health and Social Care frontline staff employed by a registered residential home, domiciliary care provider or hospice.

People with a serious medical condition such as:

  • respiratory disease, such as asthma requiring repeated use of inhalers COPD or bronchitis
  • heart disease or heart failure
  • chronic kidney disease
  • chronic liver disease
  • stroke, TIA or a chronic neurological condition
  • diabetes
  • obesity - with a BMI of 40 or over
  • a weakened immune system due to conditions or treatments e.g chemotherapy
