Providing lifelong care that is: safe, effective & dependable - for all of our community.

***IF YOU ARE A PAID HEALTH OR SOCIAL CARE WORKER, PLEASE CONTACT THE SURGERY SO THAT WE CAN BOOK YOU IN FOR YOUR COVID VACCINATION***

February 2021 - In order to keep our patients safe, the surgery is continuing to operate a triage model of care.  Once your care needs have been assessed by a clinician - either by phone or by reviewing your online consultation - please be assured that you will be offered a face-to-face appointment if the clinician feels that your care cannot be handled over the phone.

COVID-19 Vaccine - We are joining with our colleagues in S&W Herefordshire to deliver the COVID-19 vaccines from a central location in Ross-on-Wye.  Patients will be contacted directly to attend the clinics in the order determined by NHS England, starting with the staff and residents of care homes.  Be assured that as soon as you are entitled to receive the vaccine, you will be contacted.  Please note that in order to staff the clinics, we are having to reduce the number of routine appointments at the surgery.  Please be patient with our reception team if you are not able to book an appointment for the day of your choice.

Please use Online Consult - This is a new service for all NHS GP Practices and our reception team can walk you through how to use it.

The amount of ear wax produced varies from person to person; some people produce excessive amounts which can lead to a blockage in the ear canal.

You are more likely to develop a blockage of wax in the canal if you:

  • use cotton ear buds to clean the ear as this pushes the wax deeper into the canal
  • wear a hearing aid, ear plugs or use in-ear speakers for i-pods or similar - as these can all interfere with the natural process of wax expulsion
  • have abnormally narrow ear canals
  • have a particularly hairy ear canal
  • are elderly – because the ear wax you produce is drier and harder
  • have a dry skin problem such as eczema or psoriasis
